Makin’ A Pancacke

2 Cups Flour

1 Cup Sugar

1 Teaspoon Salt

1 1/2 Tablespoons Baking Powder

1 Egg

2 Cups Milk

2 Tablespoons Butter

4 Teaspoons Vanilla

Cooked Bacon (optional)

Throw together your dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Then add your egg, milk, butter, and vanilla. At this point you can crumble bacon on your mixture (if you would like). Once your desired ingredients are added whisk together to get the lumps out. I pour my wanted amount of batter in a spouted measuring cup for easy pouring. I also use almond oil in my skillet for coating and effortless flipping. Enjoy!

Resurrection Garden

This was really fun to make for the entire family. The only thing I had to buy was a small terra cotta pot for the “tomb” and some fake flowers; both I got from Walmart. Everything else I had in my craft box, kitchen, or found outside.

Instead of the green “moss” ribbon you could do real grass, moss from a tree outside, or whatever you want to decorate with. The sky is literally the limit. I choose to make a resurrection garden that wasn’t real because I wanted a decoration that could stay made for every year. It’s definitely a tradition I want to implement each year and then have one in each child’s room or even gift our garden to someone.

Since It Started Raining

It started raining and I decided to do a craft with the kids. I chose to make a bird feeder. It’s repurposeful, great for the planet, feeds the birds, and its cheap!
I used:
Peanut Butter: for spreading on the roll to make the birdseed stick
Birdseed: to sprinkle on the peanut buttered roll
Ribbon: to thread through holes on each side of roll to create a way to hang your bird feeder.
Scissors: to cut holes on each side of roll BEFORE smothering on the peanut butter.
Paper towel roll cut in two
